Dedication to Community

Charlie grew up in Precinct 1 graduating from NBHS in 1993. His involvement in the community began at a young age as a founding member of the Children of the American Revolution in New Braunfels, and held membership with the Sons of the American Revolution.

Charlie served as a District Director for the Texas Jaycees, and is a Past-President of the New Braunfels Jaycees. He is currently a member of the Elk's lodge, and the Comal County Fair Association.

Charlie enjoys serving his community, and his volunteerism has enhanced his leadership skills.

Transitions for Tomorrow

One of the immediate challenges of serving as Constable will be stepping into the boots of Constable Scroggin who has been adored by the community for decades.

Charlie was honored when Ben asked him to serve as his Chief Deputy Constable, and is excited to work under his mentorship for the duration of his term. This opportunity will guide Charlie to effectively take over the office, and "Continue the legacy".

With his knowledge of current technology Charlie will successfully lead the agency as the population of Comal County continues to grow. Charlie's technological experience will enable him to decipher what is prudent, and necessary to maintain fiscal responsibility, while providing the best service to the community.

Law Enforcement Career

Charlie has served as your elected Constable since January 2021. He started his Law Enforcement Career with the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department in 1998. He served the citizens of Kendall County for eight years before returning home to Comal County where he has served since 2006.

Charlie holds a Master Peace Officer license, instructor license, Marine Safety Enforcement Officer Certification, among others. He has over 2000 clock hours of continuing education focusing on leadership and investigations.

Through his career Charlie has held several leadership positions including patrol supervisor, Criminal Investigator, and Team Leader for the Crisis Negotiation Team.
